What are some fancier wedding hairstyles for short hair, with a veil?

I just got my haircut over the weekend and it's SHORT.

I wear glasses and I had to take them off to get my hair cut' I'm basically blind without them. So when I put them back on to see the final product it was about 3 inches shorter that I told her to do it.

I like the haircut, and everyone says it's really cute BUT my wedding is in less than 7 months and it's too short to put in my planned up-do (a french roll or bun with the veil tucked in the bottom).

I really want to wear a veil, and I want my hair done fancy for my wedding (because I don't really have other opportunities do do that sort of thing). can anyone suggest some things they have seen for short hair styles .... pictures would be great!

I have bangs now, kind of blunt ones, but they are long enough now that in 7 months they will be nice side-swept bangs. It's kind of like this one:http://www.beautyriot.com/stuff/images/a鈥?/a>

But with blunt bangs.

Have you thought about...

It's glam/classic movie starlet- totally red carpet and vixen! No one else will have done it, and when will you have opp to wear this ever again?

This one is hot...

but may require some extensions- depends on how thick your hair is, and possibly how much length you have by than

And don't completely scratch extensions off the list, they are somewhat pricey- but ultimately worth it. You can go with a less expensive version that is only for the one day, or opt to go pricier and have long locks for your honeymoon.

Veils:

for the top style I would say that a mantilla veil would be stunning

for the second, you could do a mantilla, or really any veil- even the birdcage style that has become quite hot recently

Best Wishes!

Addition: Okay, I just read your ';additional info'; and first of all before giving advice, it would have been nice to know that you don't want curly advice. SECOND- hair dressers can do amazing things, even put a curl in your hair that will stay. Talk to them- really. and besides, WTH are you going to do without adding any body to it? just wear it straight and blunt- than why bother? What are some fancier wedding hairstyles for short hair, with a veil?
I feel for ya. I also have fine hair that won't hold a curl, so I know exactly what you're talking about.

I think I'd start looking around, now, for a good stylist. Obviously, not the one who cut your hair shorter than you'd asked for. Start asking stylists what can be done with short, fine hair. Have them give you style suggestions, maybe some photos.

Remember, you are going to want a style that you can easily wear, and not have to fuss with all day long.
You might find some ideas on the following site.

You could also pull your hair back and add a hairpiece.

There are some nice ones that look very real and blend in with your own hair.
What kind of veil to do plan on wearing? With short hair you might want to consider a birdcage veil.

Here are some pics I found:

Hope that helps!
You could have extensions put in for your big day, but they are expensive. I would try a few practice runs over the next couple of months to see if there is a way to wear your veil at different lengths. My sister had fine short hair at my wedding, by the time the hairstylist was done she had big hair, I thought they had put a wig on her. Have faith in the hairspray and beautician, and ask around you may want to change stylist. (especially after cutting so much)
