Beach Wedding Hairstyle?

I am getting married on the beach. I would love a hairstyle that is simple yet beautiful (not the messy look). My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders and it is layered. Here is a picture of my dress. I am wearing a small tiara and a veil that is about elbow length...can anyone help!!

Well I have a few tips for you, I was a beach bride in June!

Buy the smallest fishing weights you can find at your local sporting goods store or Wal-mart. Pain them the color of your dress (with finger nail polish) once there dry attach one to each corner of the veil, one in the middle of the back. This keeps veil from blowing around your face in the wind,(wont hit a bridesmaid in the face or blow around when walking down or up the isle) and not to heavy that it will pull your hair out.

I had my hair pulled half up half down in curls. I also used a warming spray. Ask you hair dresser they know what I am talking about. It holds the curls but isn't crunchy and stiff, so if a curl comes down or the wind blows a bit it will move naturally and not look odd in pictures. like the wind blowing softly but your hair only looks like half of it is moving (like the wind hit a block wall).

Expect to have those little hairs come down and be around your face, we planned on it so we curled and set them where we wanted them ahead of time so it was a big deal when they came loose.

Hair spray with make your hair frizzy in the moist ocean air. I would ask the hair dresser or go online and check out bride hair at the salons. They will have tons of hair ideas.

Hope this helped and best wishes. I personally had my hair done like Elisabeth on the Pirate of the Caribbean 1 where she was on the goast ship. It was a classic look with soft curls that were made to look natural. So the hair dresser made them very tight perfect curls and said let the wind do it thing and make it look natural. It did and was perfect!Beach Wedding Hairstyle?
Hi

The dress is very lovely. Have you thought bout a french braid/plaite or even something like Geena Davis wore in a league of their own. I would have it tied back to lift it from the nape of your neck so you can stay cooler.

Half Up, Half Down

This is the usual hairstyle brides opt to have because it's simple and hassle-free to do. Only half of the hair is pinned, clipped, or tied -- that's why it's called ';half up, half down.'; You can do a lot of add-ons to this hairstyle to complement your wedding make up. The laid-down part of the hair can be curled, whichever way you want, though big curls are still preferred. For your hairstyle not to look too boring in front, you can also pull out some bang
You've gotten good suggestions from other answerers, but let me tell you what happened to my niece during her beach wedding--

In ALL of the photos, my niece's face is dripping with sweat (as was her husband's). If it's going to be a hot day, MAKE SURE you have towels or Kleenex to blot your faces with, and MAKEUP ON HAND, if necessary, to fix your face during the camera shooting.

It would have made so much difference in the photos if the bride and groom hadn't been all sweaty!

ONE OTHER THING: Not all photographers take into consideration the angle of the sun on your faces. Make sure your photographer takes the photos carefully. If they are just photographers who work at the resort you're going to, they aren't particularly going to care if they do a good job with their photography or not.
I'd say that an up-do would be best, assuming that there most likely will be a sea breeze (you wouldn't want your lovely locks blowing in your face!) A simple french twist or bun would be good, and some white flowers tucked in would look very nice. Or, do a bun with the tiara on top, and the veil tucked in the underside of the bun.
Hi-

First of all i want to say that is a really pretty dress!!

I think you should wear your hair all down (or half up/half down) and make it curly. I know your hair isn't as long as some of these photos (but it's just an idea..)

Here are some ideas i found

just go on yahoo images and type in 'wedding updo' wedding hair, wedding hairstyles...
That dress is really pretty! I liked the model's hairstyle though. It was casual but still pretty.

When I saw Beach Wedding Hairstyle, I instantly thought of curly/wavy hair tied back in a half-ponytail, but I don't know if you would consider that messy...
A friend of mine does hair.. she said the going thing right now is wearing your hair natural .. just do some nice curls and let them drop.. she did that and it was so pretty. She just renewed her vows.. 10yrs now for her.. And she did her vows on the beach.
I think the girls hair in the picture is nice.

Are you really set on a veil and tiara? Because flowers would be really nice as well. You could even do them with the hairstyle in that picture.
I think it would be really pretty if you curled your hair loosely (aka gisele bundchen style) and left it down or pulled the front pieces up like the model in the picture.
Braided like Bo Derek in 10...
