Wedding hairstyle help!?

I have long, straight hair and have no idea what to do with my hair for my wedding. I almost always have it down b/c my face is so round that pulling it back just accentuates it, but I want to look simple but elegant for the big day. (My mom is set on me wearing my hair up, but I'm worried about hating all of my pictures.) I have a strapless tea-length dress and a veil that goes about halfway down my back...and would like to wear either a tiara or headband. Does anyone have any ideas and/or places to look for ideas?Wedding hairstyle help!?
If you wanted to go for something in between, how about you pull the top up for a bit of height and perhaps have some loose layers (bangs) to frame your face. They will shave off the width a little so you dont look so round but it will still be styled up a little at the top.

Failing that, you could always have a half side swept do.

Katherine Heigl has a round / square face and she has gone for a side pinned vintage look. She's on the cover of the newest Vanity Fair

And, here is the best bit. There is a website solely dedicated to round face hairstyles! Upload a pic and try some styles.

go for a half up half down hair style. did you ever see steel magnolias? julia roberts style in that movie sounds like what you are looking for. maybe a little less poufy. go to a salon for a consultation. pick out a tiara or headband and take it with you. that way they can help you decide on the perfect do. good luck and congrats.
have it up with curls, just have a few curls coming down around your face so it wont look soo pulled back, a teara would go nice too (see my pic :)

Also, you could go to the hair dresser and have then mess with it, see what you like, that way theres no surprises on the day of
You could try going to wedding runway shows or try looking at wedding magazines.
Half up/Half down is classic, like your dress (so it sounds in the way you described it, very pretty by the way!) If you would like some options, here's a link...
You could have your hair half up so from the back you still have your hair up with most of it still long and left down, and pull from the front strands of hair so it falls lightly on your face... Or put your hair up and pull lots of hair out or curl it before you put it up and have lots of loose strands coming down then you won't be so worried about your face.
You can still have an elegant';Upstyle'; even though you are a fuller in the face.

You can have some ';barrel curls'; which will give you height and then some softness around your face with some hair (that is curled) just to take the edge of your round face.

Upstyles look great on most people.....

I had an upstyle and wore a tiara. People said I looked like a

Princess.

As long as you have some softness around the face, it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Having your hair down means that you will have to use a lot of hairspray or setting lotion(if you are going to have it curled) and chances are your hair/head may sweat.

You need to have a few experiments with your hairdresser before the big day using your tiara.

I think you will look beautiful....

don't be afraid to have an upstyle - they are truly elegant.

All the best!!

I think you can look really elegant without putting your hair up. I think that's where many people make a mistake on special ocassion hairstyles. 1) to look beautiful, it's okay look like yourself 2) you don't always have to put your hair up to look elegant.

There are many styles that can look beautiful with your hair down. You can curl it up (candy curls) or make it wavy or lots of other styles. go to a salon and consult a style book or just ask a professional they should be happy to help you. dont let them persuade you to put your hair up if you are not happy with it.instead persuade them to make you look beautiful with your hair down. good luck.
You might wanna go to your hairdresser. They could have creative ideas
