Are you or did you wear your hair up or down for your wedding? If you already wed, were you happy with the hairstyle you chose? What types of hairstyles look best with which types of faces, hair %26amp; body types? I have long, fine, curly hair that tends to frizz with the slightest bit of humidity...Wedding hairstyles - up or down?
You are smart for planning ahead! My hairstyle was the one thing I didnt decide before the day. And since it was a destination of sorts, I had never been to the stylist before the day.. luckily they were really professional and did a great job. It was up, and Im glad, because my hair doesnt do volume well. Even if I get volume, its gone in an hour. So if my hair was down I would have worried about it constantly.
Personally, I like when brides have their hair up. Its simple, and elegant. It doesnt have to be tightly held back, either. You could define the curls, but have it swept back and held with a gorgeous clip. I just like it when its off the brides face.Wedding hairstyles - up or down?
I was going to wear my hair half-up, half down, then I happened to try my dress on one day when I had a pony tail, and me, mom, and sis decided I suddenly looked taller in it with my hair up, haha! and I'm 5'4'; so thats always a plus. so i ended up with a really curly updo, and ended up being so glad I did, it wasn't hot on my wedding day, but after all the dancing we ended up doing, I was glad it was up, I got hot and I know if it was down it would have been flat within an hour!
My hair is at the in between annoying length now, and the wedding will be in July, so I'm going for all up. I just know that if I leave it down, I'll regret it and want to put it up. But, I did opt for a style that will look good well into the night. Even if some of my hair falls down, it will still look great.
Whatever you choose, I suggest you get a trial of the hairdo done. It will help you decide if its the right one for you.
I would do up here was mine. I loved it! I have curly hair. Just have the stylist reinforce your curls with an iron.

I'm not married yet but I have kind of the same hair than you and for weddings I think what would look the prettiest is that you get part of your hair tied up and the other part of it fall down on your back do you know what I mean?
I wore my hair down and curly (it's fairly long) but I used a product by TIGI called Curls Rock that kept it from getting frizzy. Little pieces of my hair were pulled up into a head band. It kept my hair from getting in my face.
in my case i'm wearing my hair down - simply because it's too short for an up-do and my hair is curly
but in your case i will have my hair up simply because you don't want to risk looking like a puff ball hehe
If thats the case I would say wear it up, less chance of it moving around and getting frizzy. you can wear it up in a curly bun and add flowers too.
I wore mine all up. I have naturally curly hair, and I got married in May. So all up was the only way to keep it looking good though-out the entire day. And it did! I was very happy with it.
I love updos on brides, they look elegant and classy. You can wear your hair down every other day.
Going to have an updo for my wedding.
I'm considering wearing half my hair up and half of it down. I saw a few really cute styles in some wedding magazines.
You could always go for the half up/ half down look. That way you still get the cool up do...but you get some hair framing your face.
I have thick curly long hair. I don't like how I look with my hair all up... so I did half up half down. I loved it! All my hair was out of my face and I got the curls too!
I'm getting married tomorrow but my hair's short, so I don't have the options you have. Personally I'd go with up, especially if it's hot. My hair does get frizzy so I know all about that.
down - both times
